This includes results from surveys, research and studies, training updates, and media interviews, as well as updates on best practices and emerging tools & technologies for serving and protecting visitors and visitor venues. The Tourism Safety & Security Association tracks crimes against tourists and the tourism industry, visitor security related trends, and relevant studies and publications. The Association conducts research, examines best practices in visitor venue security, and publishes related advocacy and position papers. The Association conducted the largest, longest, and most traveler demographically detailed field survey ever done, examining how tourists perceive safety & security when traveling. “Visitor Perceptions Concerning Safety & Security” was a year-long field study which has received international attention.
